Our origin & purpose

Launched in 2020, Hook & Fasten is built on the solid foundation of impact through community-based partnerships. We support corporations, companies, politicians, influencers and entertainers in deepening their social impact through strategy, curation and execution.

Through robust impact campaigns and initiatives, we employ a new style of giving that represents real change that answers the increasing needs of an ever-changing world.

We are led by Deesha Dyer, a award-winning strategist and author, organizer, speaker and executive operations expert who has sharpened her expertise through places like the White House, Ford Foundation, Harvard Kennedy School Institute of Politics and more. For nearly two decades, Deesha has produced social-impact campaigns across entertainment, government, philanthropy, and business. She has been awarded multiple awards over her three decades of community work.

  • We create sustainable social impact initiatives and campaigns. This includes strategic advising, data gathering, landscape analysis, community involvement, scaling probability, external and internal communications, project execution and results reporting. These projects are focused on alleviating and eliminating social needs while highlighting the goodwill of the company.

  • Using the parallel systems developed for a United States President, First Lady and several fortune 500 CEO’s, we bring efficiency and strategy to executive front offices and leadership teams resulting in alignment, ease and organization.

  • We curate and execute scholarships, fellowships, internships and mentoring programs that invest in the future of younger generations as well as those experiencing a pivot in their career or education. More than an individual investment, these projects help seed new talent into varying industries and fields.

  • Drawing from her acclaimed Harvard Institute of Politics course Imposter to Impact, Deesha Dyer delivers powerful talks that inspire action and spark change. She speaks on overcoming imposter syndrome, balancing wellness with productivity, and empowering teams to do their best work. Her sessions—offered virtually or in person—are dynamic, informative, and always include a call to action.
